What is Callian Reader?

Callian Reader is a mobile application that provides various functionalities for retrieving the RSS contents on your Smartphone or Pocket PC. You can directly receive the latest information from the Internet such as news articles from frequently visited web sites by adding its URL address in Callian Reader program.

Online search :

Online search brings you the result that best associates with your keyword. You can subscribe to as many feeds as you wish and check the properties of each feed before subscribing. Cancel your search anytime.

Import/Export OPML file :

You can easily import/export OPML files to your Callian reader by going into Menu > OPML from your feed list Window. Use File Explorer to search existing OPML files to import, or change the name of the file from the list that you wish to change and press save.

Edit Feed :

Edit your feed the way you like. Mark feeds as read/unread, rename, move feeds from folders, and create new folders.

Configurable news update :

Receive the latest updates from the subscribed feeds with configurable news update features. Choose from Update/Update All from the menu. Choosing Update will only update the selected feed whereas in Update All will update the entire feeds in your list.

Filter/Sort feeds :

To sort your items in order, the Filter from the Menu can help. By choosing from Unread only / Read only / Today / All, you can sort your items the way you like.

Changeable View Mode :

This option allows you to choose the way your Items List window looks like. You can choose from Header or Description, depending on how short or detailed you would like to receive your story. Click on Menu>View to change your view mode.

FAQ

• I have updated my feed but the icon says it is Invalid. Is something wrong?
  This is a temporary problem caused by the server from requesting of an update of your feed. Try updating again, and if the problem occurs again then the feed may be removed from the URL.
• I am trying to subscribe to a new feed but I am getting a message saying the feed already exists.
  This problem occurs when a feed with the same URL information has already been subscribed. Though the names may be different, it will not subscribe.
• From my Items List window, I cannot move to the Internet Explorer page.
  Please check your Internet connection. When Internet connection is disconnected, the Internet Explorer cannot run through pressing OK button.
• The icon says I have Unread Items remaining in my feed, but when I check my feed it says I have none.
  This problem occurs when your preference in the Filter settings does not match with the items in your feed. Change your settings to Unread Only or All.
• When is Callian Reader going to apply all my changes in my settings?
  After making changes in the Options menu, close the Options window, and it will automatically refresh applying the changes you made.
